Small BWQ Recall Pen
These are the dimensions for the small BWQ recall-pen that I use for transport to sites where it will not be left overnight. It has no center divider and only one entrance. I place cardboard or plywood on top and stack them for transportation. I believe that it works best with the plywood left on top during recall period. My suggestion is that you use a couple of watering devices in the pen. If you use for longer periods than daily outings you probably should provide for feed.
Please use these diagrams as a guide to build your own recall pen. Adjust to meet your needs. Good Training to All.
NOTE:
I have increased the height to 10 inches to accomodate the larger BWQ that are being supplied to me at this time. I may go as much as 12".

Dog Boot Pattern to make your own boots from leather, ballistic nylon, etc.
I use duct tape to apply them to the dog. It will require three strips per foot.
Tear a strip about 10 inches long lengthwise down the middle to make two narrower/equal pieces.
Wrap this around the leg just above the foot with the sticky side out so that it does not attach itself to the dog much like a bracelet made of tape approximately loose enough to allow a pencil to be slipped between the bracelet and the leg.
Put the boot on the dog and roll the front tab down out of the way. Take the other strip of tape with the sticky side towards the boot and apply it on the outside of the back tab of the boot and then wrap it around the front and stick it to the bracelet. Take another strip of tape and roll the front tab back up on the leg. Apply tape to the front tab with the sticky side towards the boot and wrap it completely around the outside to ensure that it is secure. The length of the tape will vary with the size of the dogs leg.
When you remove the boot, do not cut use a pointed object and only cut through the outside layer of tape. Do not cut through the tape bracelet. Just leave the bracelet in place so that you do not have to remake the bracelet again.
If you tape the boot to the dog with the sticky side towards the dog instead of making the bracelet, the tape will pull the hair from the dog and create an abrasion.
I hope this helps.
Good luck
